Smart Cycling Class (6 hours)
This comprehensive bicycle education class includes everything you need to become a better, smarter, safer cyclist. In addition to what you will learn in the Safe Cycling Workshops, we will dive deeper into the rules of the road and emergency maneuvers, including on-bike drills. This free 6-8 hour class is geared for adults – 18 years or older only please – and will qualify you for teaching in our kids’ bike skills workshops AND satisfies the pre-requisite for the League of American Bicyclists LCI seminar.

- Become eligible to be a paid Smart Cycling Instructor and assist in our Kids Bike Skills Workshops
- Complete the first step in becoming a League Cycling Instructor (LCI) allowing you to teach Smart Cycling courses independently and be part of a growing community of instructors.
As part Culver City Safe Routes to School program, our goal is to build enthusiasm for cycling through better education.
Location: Culver-Palms YMCA, 4500 Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City, CA 90230 (MAP).
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The YMCA is easily accessible via the Ballona Creek bike path. Alternatively, the Culver City Bus, Line 6. There is also free parking on site. Please come prepared with a bike in good working order, helmet, water bottle and snacks.
